VIPink! Event, Benefiting Bright Pink

I was honored to be asked to be the wardrobe sylist in the "Style Closet", for the second year in a row, at the VIPink! event at Westfield, Mission Valley Shopping Center

The events main goal?  To raise money for Bright Pink, a non-profit organizaton founded in my hometown of Chicago, IL.  Bright Pink is the only national non-profit organization focusing on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women, while providing support for high-risk individuals.  VIPink weekend may be over, but you can still check out Bright Pink's website to see how you can give back to the organization that is doing so much for our young woman.  Go Bright Pink!!

In preperation for the event, I made an appearance on KUSI San Diego news to talk about fashion trends, the VIPink event and Bright Pink.  Here's a little collage from that fun morning.  Big thanks to KUSI and the beautiful models for a great segment.

The event was so much fun! It was full of fabulously fashionably men and woman, music, models, fashion, sips, bites & so much more.  No better way to raise money, for a great cause, right?

I had a blast in the "style closet" with my super awesome assistant, Alicia, showcasing all the latest trends for this Spring/Summer.

What are the must haves this Spring/Summer? Neons, soft pastels and my personal favorite, the black/white duo.  That's right, black & white is still around and more powerful than ever!  Add some fierce icy pastels or pretty pinks to the duo, and you'll be unstopable down the runway way of life, AKA-The grocery store aisles, school hallways, work hallways.....you get the idea, ha.

Until next time.......

GMC-NFL Commercials are Finally Out!

...

Those of you who know me, know that I am a CRAZY sports fan.  My #1 sports love is Football and my 2nd love is Basketball.  So, when asked to be the wardrobe stylist for some GMC-NFL commericals, I screamed, a lot.  The commercials starred Hall of Fame running back, Marshall Fualk and ESPN's Monday Night Football announcer, Mike Tirico.  Marshall Faulk & Mike Tirico?  Pinch me, because I must be dreaming!

Both men were so great to work with.  And let me tell you, dressing these two handsome & dapper men wasn't the worst day of my life, ha!  The day was filled with jokes, laughter, football talk, some trash talking about my fantasy football team :/ and of course a lot of work ;).

With that, 4 extremely funny commericals were produced.  Serioulsy, they are all pretty creative, witty and funny.  I am extremly grateful to be part of a project that involed two of my passions, football & fashion.  I'm even more grateful for leaving that day with some great memories and even greater new friends.

Now, check out the commercials and the behind the scene pictures from that day! Hope you love them as much as do.  Let me know what you think!

"Chair Fantasy" commerical, turned mobile print ad.

I was lucky enough to be the wardrobe stylist for 4 different commercials for Lawrance Furniture back in May, 2013. When working on any commercial shoot there is always so much anticipation to see the final product. You wait....and wait....and wait a little more, until the final product comes out.

I was able to view the final edited commercials before they aired online & tv, but it didn't truly feel complete until I actually saw the commercials air live on tv. What a great feeling that was, a feeling that is pretty hard to explain. I was absolutely in love with how they all turned out. I felt so proud to be a part of something so great. Working with so many talented people, with so many creative visions and seeing it all turn into one final amazing product....Ahhhhhh, there is just something so beautiful about that. It gave me chills.

With that being said, one the producers from Emota sent me this image via text the other day and I wanted to share it with all of you. This image is from one of the 4 commercials, I styled, for Lawrance Furniture. It's one of my FAVORITE commercials, "Chair Fantasy". Am I allowed to say that :)?

Seeing this image allowed me to relive something so great, giving me chills all over again. It's the simple things in life. How cool is my job?
